These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Shanaly Soko (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms are provided for general use of the Service and are not legal advice. If you operate a Store on the marketplace, you may need additional seller terms and policies.

Marketplace role

Shanaly Soko provides a storefront and discovery experience for products listed by independent sellers (“Stores”). Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Shanaly Soko is not the seller of products listed by Stores.

• Stores are responsible for product accuracy, fulfillment, warranties, and after-sales support.
• Delivery timelines and availability depend on the Store and the product’s inventory.

Eligibility and accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
• You agree to notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Orders, pricing, and payments

• Product prices, promotions, and availability may change at any time. Some content may be cached, so details shown on the site may not always reflect the latest Store updates.
• A cart or checkout submission is an intent to buy and may require Store confirmation before it becomes a final order.
• If payment is processed by a Store or a third-party provider, additional terms may apply and you agree to comply with them.

Delivery, returns, and refunds

Delivery, return, and refund policies may differ by Store and by product. Where a Store handles fulfillment, the Store’s policies apply. We may help route support requests, but we do not guarantee outcomes controlled by a Store.

User content and reviews

• If the Service allows reviews, ratings, or other submissions, you must not post content that is illegal, misleading, hateful, abusive, or infringes the rights of others.
• You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and use your submitted content for operating and improving the Service.

Prohibited activities

• Attempting to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security.
• Scraping, harvesting, or collecting data without permission.
• Using the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Store names, logos, and product content may be owned by Stores or third parties.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a security, legal, or operational risk. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of products listed by Stores.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shanaly Soko will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Shanaly Soko, its owners, operators, team members, partners, service providers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to your use of the Service, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or any content, product information, listing, order, transaction, delivery, return, refund, warranty, tax matter, or customer dispute connected to your Store or account.

If you operate a Store, this responsibility includes claims arising from inaccurate or misleading product descriptions, counterfeit or unauthorized goods, intellectual property infringement, unlawful products, defective products, unsafe products, fulfillment failures, delivery disputes, refund disputes, warranty claims, tax or regulatory issues caused by your Store, and any other claim caused by your products, staff, agents, suppliers, or business operations.

This means that if your actions, products, listings, or Store operations cause a claim or loss against Shanaly Soko, you may be responsible for covering the resulting costs and protecting Shanaly Soko from that claim to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
